ZenBox Terms of Service

Welcome to ZenBox (zenboxjp.com). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and purchase of products from ZenBox. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
1. About ZenBox
ZenBox is operated from Tokyo, Japan. We offer curated Japanese bath salt subscription boxes for international shipping. All correspondence should be directed to customer@zenboxjp.com.
2. Eligibility
By placing an order, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
3. Products & Descriptions
ZenBox curates monthly boxes of Japanese bath salts and related wellness products. While we make every effort to accurately describe and photograph our products, we do not warrant that product descriptions, images, or other content on zenboxjp.com are error-free, complete, or current. The contents of each monthly box are selected at ZenBox's sole discretion and may vary.
4. Pricing & Payment
All prices displayed on zenboxjp.com are in United States Dollars (USD) and represent the product price only. Prices do not include customs duties, import taxes, or any other fees imposed by destination country authorities. ZenBox reserves the right to modify pricing at any time. Any price changes will apply to orders placed after the effective date of the change and will not affect existing subscriptions until their next renewal cycle. Payment is processed securely through Shopify Payments. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.
5. Subscription Terms
ZenBox operates on a subscription model with the following plans:
- Monthly Plan: $60.00 USD per month
- 3-Month Plan: $172.50 USD per 3 months ($57.50/month)
- 6-Month Plan: $330.00 USD per 6 months ($55.00/month)
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled by the customer.
You can cancel or modify your subscription at any time through the subscription management link included in your order confirmation email.
If you are unable to locate your subscription management link, please contact us at customer@zenboxjp.com at least 7 days before your next billing date, and we will process the cancellation on your behalf.
Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds will be issued for unused portions of a billing cycle.
6. Shipping & Delivery
All orders are shipped from Tokyo, Japan under DAP (Delivered at Place) Incoterms 2020. Under DAP terms, ZenBox is responsible for delivering the goods to the destination country, and the buyer is the importer of record. Risk of loss transfers to the buyer upon delivery to the designated destination. Estimated delivery times are provided as guidelines only and are not guaranteed. ZenBox is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing, carrier issues, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond our control.
7. Customs Duties & Import Taxes
All customs duties, import taxes (including but not limited to VAT, GST, sales tax, and consumption tax), brokerage fees, handling charges, and any other government-imposed levies are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
ZenBox has no control over these charges and cannot predict their exact amount.
United States customers: Please be aware that U.S. customs and tariff policies are subject to change. All shipments entering the United States may be subject to customs duties and import taxes. For the most current information, please visit the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) website at https://www.cbp.gov/.
EU/UK customers: VAT is collected on cross-border orders. The EU low-value goods threshold is €150 EUR. The UK threshold is £135 GBP.
Orders exceeding these thresholds may incur additional customs duties.

8. Returns, Refunds & Refused Deliveries

Key provisions include:
- Refund requests for damaged, defective, or missing items must be submitted within 3 business days of delivery with photographic evidence.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through the subscription management link in your order confirmation email. If you cannot locate the link, contact us at customer@zenboxjp.com at least 7 days before your next billing date.
- Returns of unopened products in original, undamaged packaging are accepted within 3 days of delivery. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. A full refund of the product price will be issued upon receipt, provided the packaging shows no signs of dirt, damage, or tampering. If any packaging damage, soiling, or signs of opening are found upon inspection, the return will be declined and no refund will be issued.
- If a buyer refuses delivery due to customs duties, taxes, or related fees, no refund will be issued. The package will be returned to Japan at the buyer's expense.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on zenboxjp.com, including but not limited to text, images, graphics, logos, trademarks, and software, is the property of ZenBox or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on our website without prior written consent from ZenBox.
10. User Conduct
By using zenboxjp.com, you agree not to:
- Use the website for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website or its systems
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the website
- Submit false or misleading information
- Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits others from using the website
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the website without written permission
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ZenBox, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of our website or purchase of our products. ZenBox's total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific product or subscription giving rise to the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ZenBox, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your violation of these Terms, your use of the website, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court (東京地方裁判所) as the court of first instance.
14. Modifications
ZenBox reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on zenboxjp.com with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the website or services after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes affecting existing subscriptions, we will provide notice via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Return & Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, Customs Duty & Import Tax Liability Notice, and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ZenBox regarding the use of our website and services, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
